Operating principles: The fountain solution filtration system is connected to the fountain solution system as a bypass unit. Because of its operating principle, the filter change takes place independently from the process water circulation. The magnetic centrifugal pump guarantees the continuous flow (circulation) through the filtration system and the return flow to the fountain solution system. Following the filtration through various filter materials, the decontaminated water is pumped back into fountain solution system. During the filtration process, substances that could disrupt the printing process are removed. Fountain solution additives and IPA remain in the fountain solution, however.
