With the contactless MicroSet systems, BALDWIN offers solutions which are both progressive and well-accepted for longitudinal gluing on web presses at high production speed. The inline gluing unit MicroSet 497 applies a continuous or intermittent glue line on the web in the running direction. Moreover, a folding aid for moistening the fold, also called fold softening, can be cut in optionally. The folding aid improves the folding accuracy and provides smoother delivery of the products in the pile. Thanks to ease of operation by a menu-driven touchscreen and fully automatic cleaning programs, the press operators are offered maximum convenience.
