The Baldwin Flexo Cleaning and Drying unit in technical terms
1.    The plate cylinder is cleaned by means of a rotating and laterally oscillating brush roller.
2.    A water-detergent mixture is supplied by the spray bar and sprayed onto the brush.
3.    The brush roller scrubs the ink and substrate fibers from the cylinder and moves it into the    cleaner unit, where it is stripped off by the flicker bar.
4.    The ink and substrate fibers ends up in a collecting pan.
5.    After cleaning, the plate cylinder gets dried smoothly by a separate air knife.
6.    To keep misting down to a minimum a splash guard takes care.
