Thorough cleaning – strip for strip
The BALDWIN K500 i chill roll cleaner is activated and automatically pressed towards the cylinder in "impression on" mode as soon as the press gets started. The cleaning cloth is continuously pressed against the rotating chill roll by means of a rubber membrane. After a preselected cleanup time, the cloth is moved forward one narrow strip. It remains in contact in this function and the cleaning process continues. The press operator can choose from several different cycle times to achieve the optimum result, depending on the degree of contamination.
