Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. launches an enhanced version of its proven IMPACT blanket cleaning technology, the IMPACT® flex Automatic Cleaning System developed to provide commercial printers with maximum flexibility.
Further Baldwin products on display will include: MaximaCi Spray Dampening Systems; High Performance PREPAC®Cleaning Technologies; and the GraphiSet IR Drying & Sheet Control Systems, all designed to further optimize print production.
Shaun Kilfoyle, vice president at Baldwin comments: “Baldwin has more than 85 years of proven track record with technology innovation, developing press accessories and control systems that help printers get the best out of their presses, by optimizing productivity. Graph Expo is a great opportunity for us to showcase our latest product offering and share our commitment to the graphic arts market."
The IMPACT® flex Automatic Blanket Cleaning System combines economies of dry cloth technology with the environmental efficiency of IMPACT technology in a single system. The IMPACT® flex is the only system on the market that allows printers to choose between different cloth technologies. The advantages of the system include no drip, no mist technology that eliminates spoiled print and the need for maintenance intensive drip pans. The new productivity features and programs allow for fast make-ready and re-starts not to mention minimizing waste per wash performance.
The MaximaCi Spray Dampening Systems are pressroom-proven technologies that enable printers to maximise the results they get from their presses by being able to print on any paper stock at any speed. As a result, paper waste generated during make-readies is reduced and fountain solution, ink and energy consumption is lowered considerably. The system meets the demanding print quality and reliability standards of commercial, publication, catalogue and book printing.
Baldwin will introduce an enhanced range of its Dry Cloth PREPAC® Cleaning Consumable and Conversion Technologies. The new PREPAC®P3 Technology is unique in that it affords effective f cleaning of UV, Hybrid and Conventional inks with a single pre-engineered PREPAC®solution. PREPAC®Conversion Kits are now available from Baldwin allowing “cloth” technology cleaning systems from Heidelberg and Komori to be converted to use Baldwin PREPAC® high performance cleaning consumables.
Baldwin is also exhibiting the GraphiSet IR Drying & Sheet Control Systems. This superior sheet control technology minimizes sheet disturbance for perfecting applications. The system also benefits from the advanced pre-heat and automatic temperature control of the pile and full IR and Air integration by allowing for the highest level of energy efficient drying possible. The proven Air-Knife and Air-Shower technology enables super-efficient drying of even the toughest aqueous coating applications at maximum speeds.
Shaun Kilfoyle concludes: Our Graph Expo theme “Proven Leadership for the Future” captures Baldwin’s commitment to our customers that; they can continue to count on Baldwin in the future as they have in the past; and to bring the new technologies, systems and products that will make a productive difference in their businesses.”
