Baldwin Announces $1.5 Million Chunichi Simbun Order for Spray Dampening Systems

Shelton, CT, October 1, 2008 -- Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. (BLD on the NYSE Alternext US), a global leader in process automation technology for the printing industry, announced today that its subsidiary, Baldwin Japan, has secured a $1.5 million order from Chunichi Simbun Co., Ltd. The order is for Baldwin’s HS Spray Dampening technology, which will be installed during June and December of 2009 on a new Mitsubishi Diamondstar press at the company’s Gifu plant. Chunichi Simbun, headquartered in Nagoya, Japan, publishes and prints seven newspapers at eight production facilities with a combined daily circulation of 4.28 million.
